The specialist cruise line has released details of a mini-cruise departing from Rome on board Star Clipper on 29th August 2023. The new offering sees tall-ship Star Clipper - which holds up to 166 guests at full capacity – visiting Bonifacio, Calvi and Portoferraio, with guests disembarking in Rome on 2nd September 2023.
Recognising the opportunity to provide an additional, highly-sought-after shorter sailing, Fay McCormack, General Manager of Star Clippers’ UK GSA said: ‘taster cruises are perfect for those with limited time to get away, as well as for those embarking on their first tall-ship adventure before dipping their toes further into the water. This beautiful itinerary also provides a great opportunity to extend the stay in Rome either pre or post-cruise, to create a more dynamic package tailored to meet individual preferences.’
Cruise only prices, based on a category 6 cabin, start from £930pp. Fly-cruise packages start from £1299pp, which includes return flights to Rome from London, non-UK transfers and port charges.

Star Clippers is represented in the UK by General Sales Agent Fred Olsen Travel and any packages/offers are for UK passengers and trade.
Star Clippers operates three of the world’s largest and tallest fully-crewed sailing vessels. The ships can drop anchor in smaller harbours and visit ports often untouched by larger cruise ships and providing guests with the amenities and atmosphere of a private yacht.
High standards of service are provided by an attentive crew and all three ships have expansive teak decks, swimming pools, informal dining, a convivial Tropical Bar on deck and a comfortable piano bar and are large enough to offer first class accommodation and dining.
The two smaller ships, Star Flyer and Star Clipper take 166 guests each, with a crew of 74, while Royal Clipper carries 227 with a crew of 106.
