Star Clippers announces multiple new Mediterranean ports of call for summer 2026 sailing schedule

The specialist cruise line has announced seven brand new ports of call for their summer 2026 schedule, including Ouranoupolis in Greece and Barletta, Monopoli, Crotone and Pesaro in Italy.

Star Flyer will visit Ouranoupolis, a small city in the Halkidiki region, following a day of sailing along the Athos peninsular and viewing the monasteries as a part of a 7-night Greek Islands sailing in June 2026. Pesaro will be a tender port, allowing multiple excursion opportunities including day trips to the Republic of San Marino – one of the smallest countries in the world - and the UNESCO-recognised town of Urbino. There are currently no other cruise ships scheduled to visit Ouranoupolis or Pesaro in summer 2026.

Star Clippers installs Starlink internet on all three ships

The tall-ship cruise line has become the latest to install SpaceX’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology to allow guests and crew to experience a faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connection whilst on board.
On Saturday 8th June 2024, Star Clippers launched Starlink’s internet service on board the 3 ships in the fleet - Royal Clipper, Star Clipper and Star Flyer. The division of SpaceX - the spacecraft manufacturer and satellite communication company - allows connectivity in some of the most remote parts of the world that would have previously had compromised and inconsistent signal.

Star Clippers introduces Puglia to summer 2025 programme

The Italian town of Otranto, in the Puglia region, has been added as a new port of call for selected sailings in 2025. Southern France’s Saint Raphael is also a new addition, and Nice makes its debut as a home-port for the tall-ship cruise line.

Following the success of their popular yoga sailings, the specialist cruise line has implemented more themed sailings, including fitness training from former professional athlete Ottis Lewis in the Caribbean and a Photography cruise from Costa Rica.

Star Clippers to offer three new packages for cricket enthusiasts ahead of England’s Tour of the West Indies

The brand new ‘Wickets and Waves’ offerings give guests the opportunity to sail on board one of the cruise line’s iconic tall-ships, Royal Clipper, with pre/post-cruise stays in either Antigua or Barbados for England V West Indies ODI and TDI matches.
